Here’s how it works:

A PRP GEL-Shot injection contains a concentration of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood. Platelet-Rich Plasma has several important factors for cell recruitment that help your body function optimally. When PRP is injected into the penis, it may stimulate cellular repair and regeneration to improve sexual function. Additionally, PRP increases the amount of collagen production, which promotes tissue repair.

STEP 01

To obtain the Platelet-Rich Plasma, a small amount of blood is first drawn from your arm.

STEP 02

Your blood sample is then placed into a centrifuge, which spins your blood at high speeds to separate out the platelets and plasma. This process takes around 15 minutes.

STEP 03

Once the centrifuge has completed spinning your blood sample, a layer of PRP remains and is then extracted into a syringe.

STEP 04

A numbing cream is then applied to your penis, ensuring you are comfortable and pain free.

STEP 05

The PRP is then injected into multiple locations in the penis. The entire appointment takes approximately 30 mins. The P-Shot is an outpatient procedure and you can drive yourself home following treatment.

Your first appointment will be a free consultation and Doppler exam with Alpha Mens Clinic, a PRP GEL-Shot provider in Oklahoma City. A full review of your symptoms and medical history will be conducted in order to ensure you are a candidate for PRP GEL-Shot treatment and to help you achieve the best results possible. We may also do a quick blood test at our in-office lab to test your total testosterone levels. We get these results back in 15 minutes.

If you are found to be a candidate for treatment, a second appointment will be scheduled for the P-Shot injection to take place.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY PRP GEL-SHOT ® INJECTION?

While there is minimal downtime following your PRP GEL-Shot treatment, it is recommended you use a Vacuum Erection Device (VED) or “penis pump”. The VED will be used twice per day for a few minutes and continued for 2 weeks. Using the VED increases the amount of blood flow to the penis and helps increase the outcomes of your P-Shot injections.

Who is a good candidate for treatment?

Men experiencing erectile dysfunction and looking to improve their sexual health are ideal candidates for treatment. Additionally, men who have Peyronie’s disease are also good candidates for treatment.

How long does the effect of the PRP GEL-Shot last?

While the exact timeframe will vary from person to person, many men experience the benefits of P-Shot injections for several months to a year. Additionally, it’s common for men to begin noticing the results from treatment within a few weeks after the first injection. The timing and number of injections you need will vary based on your overall health and additional factors affecting your sexual function.

How is the P-Shot effective for treating erectile dysfunction?
